What the program sends
Program name: Stelo. Messages are sent by Stelo (Stelo Inc.), and only to people who ask for them. The program sends no advertising. Real estate brokerage services are provided by Stelo California Inc. · DRE #02449765 · Craig Patrick Barton, Designated Officer.
It sends tour confirmations and reminders, offer updates and saved-home alerts to people who tick a box to receive them; a one-time code to sign in when someone chooses "Text me a code"; and reminders of the deadlines on a transaction to the people on it who tick the box to receive them.
Every tour, offer and deadline text starts "Stelo:" and ends "Reply STOP to opt out." A tour or offer text also links to the record on joinstelo.com and names the brokerage and its license; a reminder to someone on a transaction names the agent who set it. For example, a tour text to a seller: "Stelo: A buyer requested a tour of 100 Main St, Oakland for Sat, Oct 24, 2:00 PM PDT. Nothing is confirmed yet. [a link to the home on joinstelo.com] Stelo California Inc., DRE #02449765. Reply STOP to opt out."
A sign-in code reads: "Stelo: Your verification code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Reply STOP to opt out." One code is sent each time you ask for one.
When someone on a transaction ticks the box, the first text confirms it: "Stelo: You're signed up for deadline reminder texts on your transaction. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out." Reminders are never sent between 9 PM and 8 AM.
How you opt in
You enter or confirm your own mobile number and tick a box that is unchecked until you tick it, or, for a sign-in code, press "Text me a code". Ticking a box is optional: you can always use email or Google instead. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Phone numbers for the program are collected only on these screens. Screenshots of each, and of the confirmation text, are on the opt-in page.
Frequency, rates and support
Message frequency varies with your activity: one code each time you ask for one, and a text when something happens on a tour, an offer, a saved home or a deadline you asked about. Msg & data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. After STOP you will get one message confirming it and nothing more; reply START to sign up again.
Support: email brayden@steloestate.com or call (920) 513-9546.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase.
