SMS terms

Program name: Stelo.

Messages are sent by Stelo (Stelo Inc.).

Real estate brokerage services are provided by Stelo California Inc. · DRE #02449765 · Craig Patrick Barton, Designated Officer.

Stelo texts only people who ask for texts, and only about their own home search or transaction. The program sends no advertising.

Tour confirmations and reminders: updates on a tour you asked for, such as when it is confirmed or cancelled, and a reminder before it.

Offer updates: when an offer on a home you are buying or selling is received, countered or accepted.

Saved-home alerts: when a home you saved changes price or status.

We also text a one-time code when you ask for one to sign in, and, if you are part of a transaction on Stelo and ask for them, reminders of your deadlines on it.

Every message starts with "Stelo:".

Where joinstelo.com or the Stelo extension for Chrome asks for your mobile number for texts, there is a checkbox that says what we will text and links to these terms and our Privacy Policy. It is unchecked until you tick it.

Ticking it is optional. You can send the form without it and hear from us by email instead. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase.

On the seller start at joinstelo.com/sell, the box reads, word for word:

I agree to receive text messages from Stelo at the number provided: verification codes, tour confirmations and reminders, and offer updates. Consent is not a condition of purchase. When you request a tour in the Stelo extension for Chrome:

On the private page for a transaction you are part of, under "Text me reminders":

Message frequency varies with your activity, such as how many tours you book and how often a saved home changes.

After you reply STOP you will get one message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no more texts after that. Reply START to sign up again.
