Stelo Inc. ("Stelo", "we", "us") operates joinstelo.com and the Stelo seller and buyer tools. Stelo is a technology platform. It is not a real estate brokerage, and it does not provide brokerage services. Licensed real estate services are provided by independent licensed partner agents. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to the Stelo website and applications that link to it.

When you request a home valuation or create an account we collect the property address, your selling timeline, the estimated home value you select, and your name, email address and mobile phone number.

If you continue into seller onboarding we collect details about the property you choose to provide — such as property type, year built, bedroom and bathroom counts, square footage, lot size, parking, and whether there is a basement, pool or HOA — along with listing content you create, such as a headline, description, photos and video links.

If you contact us, book a tour, or message through the platform, we keep that correspondence and the phone number used to verify a tour.

We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed and referring pages. We use a first-party identifier to associate activity from before you signed in with your account once you do, so that a valuation you started as a guest is still there afterwards.

We use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary to sign you in, keep you signed in, and remember your progress through a form. We do not use them to build advertising profiles.

To estimate a home's value and find comparable sales we use public records and licensed property-data providers. That information is about the property rather than about you, and we request it using the address you give us.

Address search and mapping are powered by third-party mapping services, which receive the search text you type in order to return suggestions.

You may choose to receive a one-time verification code by text message. You opt in by entering your mobile number and affirmatively checking the consent box on our form; consent is not a condition of purchase, and you may decline and use email instead.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories in the "How we share information" section below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

We share your mobile number with our messaging provider only to the extent necessary to deliver the message you requested. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies and messages are sent only in response to an action you take. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.

To produce your savings estimate and home valuation; to create and secure your account and verify it is you signing in; to introduce you to a licensed partner agent and support the sale of your home; to respond to you; to operate, debug and improve the platform; to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations.

We use artificial intelligence to help draft listing content and answer questions. Those tools are informational and do not provide brokerage, legal, tax or financial advice.

With licensed partner agents. If you ask to be connected, we share the information needed to help you — such as your name, contact details, property address, timeline and valuation — with a licensed partner agent. They act as independent businesses and their use of your information is governed by their own practices.

With service providers who process information on our behalf and only on our instructions: hosting and application infrastructure, our database and authentication provider, mapping and address search, property-data and valuation providers, email delivery, text message delivery, and AI processing for the features described above.

For legal reasons, where we believe disclosure is required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety or the integrity of the platform; and in connection with a merger, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated above, text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every category of sharing.

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for the period required to meet legal, tax, accounting and dispute-resolution obligations. Valuation answers captured before you sign in are held briefly and discarded if you never complete sign-in.

You can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and you can withdraw consent to text messages at any time by replying STOP or by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and severs it from the leads and listings associated with it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — including, for California residents, the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing. Stelo does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any right.

To exercise a right, email hello@steloestate.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting.

We use industry-standard measures including encryption in transit, access controls and hashed one-time codes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The platform is not directed to children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We will post any change on this page and update the date above. Material changes will be communicated more directly where required.
