Check any quote against five lines

Whoever you choose, compare the written scope, not just the number. These are the lines worth reading twice.

  1. The rate, in dollars

Ask what the listing side comes to at your likely price. A percentage is easy to agree to and hard to picture.

  2. The buyer side

Check whether buyer-agent compensation is folded into the number. It's separate, optional and negotiable, so see it on its own line.

  3. When it's due

At closing or upfront? Stelo guided is $2,500 flat, upfront; Stelo full service is 1% at close.

  4. What's in writing

Photos, staging, showings, negotiation and closing paperwork should all be spelled out in the agreement, not assumed.

  5. Who does the work

Know who prices the home, runs the showings and answers offers once it's listed: an agent, or you.

FAQ

Straight answers on the 6% example and what each Stelo plan includes.

No. Commission is negotiable and varies by agent and agreement. The 6% here is a hypothetical combined fee, split 3% for the listing side and 3% for the buyer side, so Stelo is compared with the listing side like for like.
It's a different level of service. For $2,500 flat, upfront, you lead the sale with the seller dashboard, MLS placement, pricing and staging guidance, and negotiation coaching. Stelo is not your listing agent. Full service is 1% at close, with a $3,500 minimum, and your licensed agent handles the sale.
Any buyer-agent compensation is separate, optional and negotiable, whichever way you sell. That's why this page sets Stelo's fee against the listing side of the 6%, not the whole of it.
Yes. Put its listing rate into the commission calculator, then check it against the five lines on this page: the rate in dollars, the buyer side, when it's due, what's in writing and who does the work.
